The Nobel Prize :-

 - The Nobel Prize was founded in 1901 by the Swedish scientist Alfred Bernhard Nobel.

 - Alfred's Bernhard Nobels was born in 1833 in Stockholm, Sweden.

 - At the ages of 9, he moved to Russia together with his family.

 - Alfred Nobel was an unmarried Swedish scientist and chemical engineer who discovered dynamite in 1867.

 - The Swedes came to know about the awards only after his death in 1896 when he read his will in which he donated all the annual income from his funds to help the awards.

 - In he will, he ordered that "the most deserving person, whether he's a Skadinavian or not, will receive the award."

 - The interest on the money left by them will be shared annually among those who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of science, literature, peace and economics.

 - The world's most glorious prize of US $ 58, 960, 000 is supported by the Nobel Foundation.

 - Previously Nobel Prizes were awarded for work in five disciplines.

 - The Prize for Economics was launched by Sverijesh Ricks Bank, Swedish Bank in 1967 to commemorate its 300th anniversary and was presented for the first time in 1969.

 - It is also called the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics.

 - The committee and selectors for the award announce the Nobel Prize winners in October each year, but the prizes are distributed by Alfred Nobel on the 10th of December.

 - Each award can be given to a maximum of three people in a year.

 - Each of these winners is given a gold medal, diploma, extension and money in Swedish citizenship.

 - If there are two winners in a prize, the money is shared equally between the two.

 - If the number of award recipients is three, then the selection committee has the right to divide the money equally among the three or give half to one and distribute the remaining two equally.

 - So far the award has been given to only two deceased persons, first to Ari Axel Karlfaldt in 1931 AD and secondly to UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarsold in 1961.

 - In 1974, a rule was made that posthumously no one would be awarded the Nobel Prize.

 - The International Committee of the Red Cross has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace 3 times - in 1917, 1944 and 1963.

 - Sir William Henry Bragg received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1980 along with his son William L. Bragg.

 - The youngest Nobel laureate male Laurence Bragg (25 years) and female Malala Yusuf Jai (17 years).

 - Leonid Herquiz, the oldest, has won the Nobel Prize. He has been awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize in Economics. He was 90 years old at that time.
